Creating beautiful healthy smiles and keeping them for life
Porcelain Veneers
What are porcelain veneers?
Porcelain veneers are thin shells of ceramic that bond directly to the front surfaces of the teeth. They are an ideal choice for improving your smile and have become increasingly popular due to their simplicity and versatility.
Placing custom veneers requires a high degree of technical skill as well as attention to cosmetic detail. We place veneers routinely, and design each case individually to match and enhance the characteristics of each patient's smile.
What are porcelain veneers?
When bonded to the teeth, the ultra-thin porcelain veneers are virtually undetectable and highly resistant to coffee, tea, or even cigarette stains. For strength and appearance, their resemblance to healthy, white tooth enamel is unsurpassed by other restorative options.
How durable are porcelain veneers?
With proper care, porcelain veneers will brighten your smile for well over a decade. Our doctors will ensure that your veneers are crafted from the highest quality porcelains and are bonded with the most advanced and proven materials available.
Refraining from using your veneers as tools to open and cut things will prolong their life, and if accidental breakage or damage occurs, it is usually possible to replace only the veneer involved.
Bonding
Composite resin bonding is a restorative technique that combines ease of use with the capability to match your own enamel shade. Bonding is used to repair chipped teeth and replace discolored fillings. Bonding can also be used to correct white or dark spots. Advanced bonding techniques even make it possible to replace old silver mercury fillings with beautiful tooth-colored restorations that are practically invisible.
Bleaching
Having a beautiful smile may be even easier than you think. Many people achieve the look they've been dreaming of with our simple "bleaching" procedure.
What are the details?
Let us know if you would like to brighten your smile. We use the Sapphire in-office whitening system. First there is a short preparation to isolate your lips and gums. Then whitening gel is applied and activated by a specially designed blue light. Teeth typically become at least six to ten shades whiter, sometimes more. You'll be amazed with the results. In most cases, teeth get even whiter the first few days after the procedure.
Dental bleaching is used to correct tooth staining that can be caused by food, wine, coffee, tea, smoking, aging, or chemical damage to teeth. Using the latest in bleaching technology, we can offer a safe method for creating a beautiful smile. In some cases, the change is nothing short of brilliant. For very severely stained teeth, crowns or veneers may be more appropriate.
Crowns
Most dentistry looks like dentistry. Our goal is to provide dentistry that is undetectable. We replace existing crowns and fillings with restorations that look and feel like your natural teeth.
In front teeth, older fillings can both weaken the teeth and cause appearance problems due to staining or chipping. Porcelain crowns are a predictable and cosmetically beautiful way to repair damaged front teeth.
When damage to a person's teeth is extreme, and apparently beyond repair, we can use porcelain crowns to make the smile appear "as new".
Some porcelain crowns may have a dark appearance at the gumline or simply look "fake". With the cosmetic techniques we use we can replace those "old" crowns with porcelain crowns that look exactly like beautiful teeth.
